Webinar on Support & Accessibility for students with reduced mobility in schools
05 Dec 2020
Disability alone may not be related to higher risk for getting COVID-19 or having severe illness. However, some people with disabilities might be at a higher risk of infection or severe illness because of their underlying medical conditions. This is especially true for people with physical disabilities who need inclusive infrastructure and extreme sanitary measures to navigate through areas. People who have limited mobility or who cannot avoid coming into close contact with others who may be infected, such as direct support providers and family members may be impacted.
Children who have trouble understanding information or practicing preventive measures, such as hand washing and social distancing or Children who are heavily dependent on the power of touch to identify places.
