In partnership with the Alkem Foundation, SHARP NGO recently hosted a dissemination workshop that united all stakeholders to review and celebrate the achievements of Phase 1 of "Alkem Anemia Mukt Abhiyaan". This workshop was a pivotal moment for aligning our vision for a healthier future for women and girls.

In the presence of distinguished guests Pravin Patil, CDPO Raigad and Dr. Prajakta, CHO Raigad, the workshop began with a comprehensive overview of the significant progress made in Phase 1, highlighting key successes and identifying areas for further improvement. Stakeholders, including community leaders, healthcare professionals, and program volunteers, engaged in meaningful discussions, sharing insights and best practices.

SHARP NGO, in collaboration with Schneider Electric, celebrated the successful conclusion of its Conserve My Planet program with the Interschool Green Championship across seven Indian cities. Students from leading schools competed for the Green Champion 2023-24 title by presenting innovative energy conservation models. The event, attended by green ambassadors, school champions, teacher coordinators, and Schneider Electric's energy experts, honored the participants' commitment to sustainability. Over five months, the program achieved a conservation of over 2,84,593 units of energy this year, reflecting SHARP NGO's continuous effort to enhance education and capacity for climate change mitigation across 100+ schools in India.

SHARP NGO celebrated Poshan Maah 2023 by raising awareness about health and nutrition under the theme "Suposhit Bharat, Sakshar Bharat, Sashakt Bharat." The month-long event featured a variety of activities, including Awareness sessions, Poshan Melas and Rallies.
Major highlights were the 10-day Healthy Habits Challenge, Godhbharai event in which pregnant women enjoyed a nutritious feast, essential for Maternal and Child health and the Teacher’s Day celebration to increase nutritional awareness among educators and students.
The Kishori Sang Samwad was organised in schools to educate young girls about healthy nutrition and hygiene practices, empowering them to make informed choices. Additionally, the Poshan Samwaad facilitated open discussions on nutrition and well-being, and the Office Poshan Mela aimed to promote a balanced lifestyle among the employees.

Through these efforts, SHARP NGO is committed to fostering a healthier, more informed, and empowered nation.

Skill Development Programme focus on enabling students in the school to excel the skills they are learning. More importantly it aims to get the decline in drop out rates of students in skill classes as well as in regular scheduled classes. Education and skill In a person together can do a lot of positive upliftment in the life of the students. Education is the basic need and right of every child.

Around 1.7 million buses are registered in India, out of which around 1,70,000 are public buses carrying around 70 million people per day.
Drivers operating these buses are usually overworked and stressed, long working hours and exposure to sunlight causes harm to their eyes, putting their and passengers' lives at risk. SHARP NGO with the support of RPG Foundation has extensively worked on eye care and its precautionary measures for the bus drivers across 7 states of India.

Health and education go hand in hand as a healthy child concentrates more in class than a child with health problems. To tackle this problem, #SHARPNGO in collaboration with #MYLANLaboratoriesLtd. is organizing extensive health screening camps for government schools in Hyderabad to improve the health of the school children as well as help them to succeed in their academics.

SHARP NGO and Schneider Electric conducted Green Championships in four cities pan-India. These championships felicitated school students and teachers who contributed to #EnergyConservation and #Sustainability, and saved a total of 11,687 Units of energy in three months. With this, in lieu of the SDGs, we are increasing #education and institutional and human capacity on #mitigation, impact reduction, early warning and #adaptation to climatechange. This Project is implemented by SHARP NGO since last 6 years. It has covered more than 13 cities and covered more than 100 schools.

SHARP NGO presented the #NationalSchoolHealthSummit 2020 at #IITDelhiAlumniDay 2019. Besides putting up a stall, our team interacted with several stakeholders of school health like doctors, teachers and CSR experts. We also showcased the work of Emerti Self Help Group – women run cooperative making cloth bags.

SHARP NGO had the pleasure of attending the CII Annual Conclave on Corporate Social Responsibility on 23rd October 2019.  The highly informative sessions and interactions with like-minded people made it an enriching experience.

According to the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India, in 2018 over 26,000 deaths occurred due to not wearing seat belts.
SHARP organized a session on Road Safety and Seat-Belt Awareness at The Millennium School, Gurugram to provide the future drivers of our country with proper facts and knowledge about Road Safety. Teaming up with @nissan_india for #HaveYouClickedToday which is a campaign to encourage wearing seat-belts.
