The education ministry has taken a step to integrate skill development into the formal education system for a holistic development of the child. As we move towards empowering students with knowledge, skills and quality education, we promise them employment and innovation. Skill development through NEP provides us a platform to produce an adequate workforce for the country thereby changing the livelihood scenario in India. To ensure this bright future for India, we need to learn and unlearn the implementation procedures of new education policy and at three different levels; parents, teachers/schools and community as a whole. This gives us a great opportunity to discuss and propagate the importance of skill development to all of the educators.
