Webinar on Situating women and adolescent health in the context of Covid-19

COVID-19 pandemic has impacted the mental and physical health of women and adolescents. Various social determinants of health—which include economical, political, and environmental factors—play a major role in the health outcomes of women in India and access to healthcare in India. India currently has one of the highest rates of malnourished women among developing countries and also the lack of maternal health which contributes to future economic disparities for mothers and their children. Women and adolescents were unable to access basic health services during lockdown. These are highlighting some out of various other issues which exist and need to be discussed as we come out of pandemic strategizing for building better health outcomes for all. This International Women's Day gives us the opportunity to highlight the same and talk about accessibility, leadership, etc. among women and adolescents.
