The webinar was part of the  “ Rashtriya POSHAN Maah’2021” to intensify behaviour change efforts required to comprehensively address the problem of malnutrition as envisaged under POSHAN Abhiyaan. As Theme 4 included Identification of children with Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM), supervised Supplementary Feeding Program for children up to 5 years old with SAM, and sensitization for Community Management of Acute Malnutrition which was celebrated from 24th – 30th September, it  broadly focussed on Understanding Malnutrition, Measuring Undernutrition and Types of Undernutrition

With Malnutrition continuing to be a leading risk factor for death in children younger than 5 years, this webinar  addressed the issue of  Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM)

Participants joining through Zoom were encouraged to share their thoughts and discuss their problems also for the benefit of others.
