Webinar on Mindfulness Meditation and Adolescents Well-being

In this webinar we aimed to educate and aware people on Mindfulness Meditation Awareness, School Based Programs Mindfulness and Meditation Techniques for stress reduction and Well Being.Stress continues to be a major threat to health and learning outcomes for adolescents. Other research suggests that greater stress experienced during the adolescent time period is associated with more incidences of anxiety and depressive disorders in young adulthood. Finding healthy stress reduction practices acceptable to adolescents and helping them develop these skills is imperative. As researchers continue to reveal the detrimental effects of stress, particularly to teenagers, the field of investigating meditation as a stress reduction and health promotion tool for young people has emerged.Developing effective stress reduction techniques in adolescence appears to be a critical need with respect to mental health, wellbeing, and academic performance. The effects of meditation have been well investigated in adult populations, and studies are beginning to emerge in the adolescent population with specific attention on school-based programs.
